Air-Fryer Bratwurst with Vegetables
Bratwurst browned in the basket with peppers, onions, and potatoes — beer-garden energy without leaving the kitchen.
Brats are already built for the air fryer: fatty enough to brown, sturdy enough not to dry out, and happy beside vegetables. This version cooks the vegetables first so they get a head start, then the sausages go on top and baste everything below.
It is a sheet-pan dinner in basket form, just faster and with better edges. Mustard belongs on the table; sauerkraut would not be unwelcome.
Method
ii.-
01
Start the vegetables
Toss potatoes, peppers, and onion with oil, salt, and caraway. Cook at 380°F for 10 minutes.
-
02
Add brats
Nestle bratwurst on top of the vegetables. Cook 10–12 minutes more, turning the sausages once.
-
03
Check doneness
Brats should be browned and read 160°F inside. Give the vegetables another shake if needed.

04
Serve
Pile into bowls or buns with mustard and any pan juices from the basket drawer.
