Easy

A seafood boil wants steam, spice, and a table you do not mind getting buttery. The air fryer cannot replace the drama of a newspaper-covered feast, but it gets surprisingly close for a weeknight: browned sausage, sweet corn, tender potatoes, and shrimp that cook in minutes.

The trick is staggering the basket. Potatoes go first, then sausage and corn, then shrimp right at the end so they stay springy. Everything gets finished in Cajun butter, which is the part nobody complains about.

Method

  1. 01

    Start the potatoes

Heat the air fryer to 390°F. Toss potatoes with oil and 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning. Cook 12 minutes, shaking once.

  2. 02

    Add corn and sausage

Add the corn and sausage to the basket. Cook 8 minutes more, until the sausage edges brown and the corn smells sweet.

  3. 03

    Cook the shrimp

Toss shrimp with melted butter and remaining seasoning. Add to the basket and cook 5–6 minutes, just until pink and curled.

  4. 04

    Finish hot

Tip everything onto a platter, squeeze with lemon, and scatter parsley. Serve with napkins and no shame.
